Connweb Terms of Service

Connweb is owned by DLD2000.com, LLC (herein referred to as DLD2000). Paid-for designs are owned by our Clients. As our Client, you agree to the following:

1.    Connweb Service

1.1.   DLD2000 will create for Client a proprietary website, designed to fit Client’s needs and specifications. If you are a non-profit organization, there will be no design charges.

1.2.   DLD2000 will not charge non-profit Clients for the design of their website. For-profit clients will incur an additional fee. Design shall include creation of individual pages with hyperlinks, as well as use of color, graphics, and/or photos. Design shall also include the overall look and feel of the website.

1.3.   Client agrees to permit DLD2000 to include a hyperlink in small print at the bottom of Client’s home page that points to DLD2000’s own websites.

1.4.   Since DLD2000 designs non-profit Clients' home pages for free, such Clients agree that all aspects of free design provided by DLD2000 shall be the property of DLD2000 and not of Client. This section shall not apply to materials supplied by Client. If a non-profit Client chooses at some future time to authorize to move the website designed by DLD2000 to another Internet Service Provider (ISP), Client agrees to pay DLD2000 a fee of $360 for the ownership and/or use of that design. This fee shall only be due in the event the website design is moved to another ISP.

1.5.   Clients are entitled to one free design. Additional designs or changes made after the initial design has been completed and approved by the client may be subject to additional charges, at our discretion, which will not affect or impair any of the other provisions of Section 1.

2.     Website Hosting

2.1.   Once the initial website design is completed, Client agrees that DLD2000 will host the website on the World Wide Web for a fee of $10 a month, paid annually in advance. This calculates to an annual fee of $120 for 12 months, which is due immediately upon completion of the design.

2.2.   Client has the option of either using his or her own Internet domain name (such as www.mycompany.com) or of using space in the www.connweb.com domain. If client chooses to use the www.connweb.com domain, there shall be no extra charge. If client chooses to have his or her own domain name (such as www.mycompany.com), client understands that there will be an annual fee to register that name. Client may register their name with any Internet Registry of their choice.

2.3.   DLD2000 can provide domain name registration to client at a cost of $10 per year. If Client pays the extra $10 as part of Client's initial payment, Client agrees that Client has hereby ordered DLD2000 to acquire a domain name on Client’s behalf, and Client understands that DLD2000 cannot guarantee the availability of any particular domain name, and that domain name shall be acquired on a best efforts basis, and that the $10 annual fee is due and payable in any event.

2.4  By making your payments, you automatically signify your understand of and agreement with the terms herein describe.

3.    Enforceability

3.1.   The laws of the State of Virginia govern this Agreement. If any part(s) of the Agreement is(are) found to be unenforceable by a court of law, the other parts shall still be considered valid.

3.2.   Changes made to this page apply retroactively to all customers, without further notice, seven days after changes have been posted. This page last revised May 26, 2004.

4.    About Connweb

4.1.   This World Wide Web site is owned and operated by DLD2000.com, LLC, dba Connweb.

4.2.   Connweb's trade names, trademarks, logos and service marks belong to Connweb. All other trade names, trademarks, logos or service marks mentioned herein belong to their respective owners.

4.3.  Connweb hereby authorizes you to view, print, copy and distribute information published by Connweb on this or any other publicly accessed site maintained by Connweb's Web server linked to this Legal Notice and Terms of Use Policy (collectively, the "Sites"), provided that: (i) the information may be used internally (by you or any third party to whom you distribute it) only for informational purposes; (ii) no fee may be charged for distribution of any information to any third party; and (iii) any and all copyright or other proprietary notices that appear on the Sites or any Connweb Web page, together with this Legal Notice, must appear on all copies that you make or distribute.

Any information, white papers, methodologies, studies, video files, audio files, software code, photographs, graphics, processes, technologies or other materials (the "Materials") published on the Sites may be the subject of intellectual property rights reserved by Connweb, its subsidiaries or licensors. Your terms of use do not grant to you a license hereunder to otherwise use, copy, distribute or transfer the Materials.

If no additional terms are provided on such Sites or on any Connweb Web page, the use of any such Materials is governed by this provision.

All Materials provided via the Sites are intended for informational purposes only and are subject to change or withdrawal by Connweb at any time without notice. Connweb assumes no responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of the Materials.

THE MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. IN NO EVENT WILL CONNWEB BE LIABLE TO ANY PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR ANY USE OF THE SITES, THE MATERIALS OR ON ANY OTHER HYPERLINKED WEB SITE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LOST PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF PROGRAMS OR OTHER DATA, EVEN IF CONNWEB IS EXPRESSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Unless expressly provided otherwise by Connweb, all comments, feedback, information or materials submitted to Connweb through or in association with the Sites shall be considered non-confidential and Connweb's property. By submitting such comments, feedback, information or materials to Connweb, you agree, at no cost or fee, to assign to Connweb of all worldwide rights, title and interest in copyrights and other intellectual property rights to the comments, feedback, information or materials.

The Sites may contain hyperlinks to other Web sites controlled by parties other than Connweb. Connweb is not responsible for and does not endorse the contents or use of these Web sites.

Connweb controls the Sites from its offices in Warrenton, Virginia, United States of America. You agree that any legal action, proceeding or other matters relating to your access to or use of the Materials or the Sites shall be governed by U.S. federal law or the laws of the State of Virginia. In the event of any legal action arising hereunder, you also agree to submit the jurisdiction and venue of any federal or state courts in the Fauquier County, VA area.

You may not access, download, use or export the Materials in violation of U.S. export laws or regulations or in violation of any applicable local laws or regulations.
